The demand for HPS Target Master Ammunition has steadily increased over the years both in the quantity of our standard lines of .223 & .308 to diversification into specialised hand loads for the new high accuracy rifles. In the first 8 months of 2010 alone, HPS will have produced in excess of 305,000 rounds of .308, 10,000 rounds of .223 and 3,000 rounds of various other calibres and the list continues to grow.

Up until now, the familiar face of John Carmichael has been the man behind Target Master, (or “Carmichael Ammo”) for the past 20 years. John would now like to further diversify and expand the ammunition side of HPS, bringing in new business, and pass the reins of ammunition production to new hands. As such HPS is now advertising for an Ammunition Production Manager. 

The position would offer interesting and challenging work. The incumbent would require hands-on practical knowledge of full-bore target rifle shooting and hand loading. They would be responsible for:

• Overseeing the production of all Target Master Ammunition both machine loaded and hand loaded, advising on machine settings of any of the loading equipment, so technical mechanical knowledge is a requirement.
  
  
• Maintaining and applying for all necessary manufacturing, HSE, Export, Import and other licenses as required by law.

• Actively participating in all major trade shows, as well as, delivering ammunition orders to customers, which include, but is not limited to, Bisley Camp and dockside or airport cargo terminals for overseas orders. This will require the incumbent to have a valid driver’s license.

• Administrating purchase orders, customer invoicing, replying to customer queries both by phone and e-mail and other standard office tasks.

It would be preferable but not essential that the incumbent be a regular visitor to Bisley Camp in Surrey and perhaps have been a member of a touring team. This would allow an easy transition to becoming the new face of Target Master Ammunition in the full-bore community.
