Sally Johnston, New Zealand - Winner with System Gemini |
Sally used her trusty Gemini Ultra to good effect at the 2009 Oceania Shooting Federation ISSF Continental Championships in Sydney.
Silver - 50m Rifle Prone Women's Grand Prix,
Gold - Commonwealth Games MQS - 50m Rifle 3 Positions 3 x 20 Grand Prix,
Silver - 50m Rifle Prone Women New Zealand Challenge Grand Prix.
|
Sally is a long time member of the New Zealand High Performance squad having won her first Commonwealth Games Bronze in Malaysia in 1998. Since then she has represented New Zealand with distinction at World Cup matches and other Commonwealth Games.
Her efforts in Sydney will almost certainly secure her selection to represent New Zealand in India in 2010. She may possibly be the only New Zealand representative in the rifle disciplines since no other High Performance squad athlete has attained an MQS at an International event.
Congratulations Sally from all of us at HPS! And good shooting in 2010!

Finally it is worth looking at Day 2 of NZ 300m Champs and Wellington 300m Champs Result - 8 Jan 10" where the team fired a practise alongside. Jon Underwood dropped only 3 points (597/600) using HPS Machine Loaded Ammo. Other team members put up some very good scores. www.gderb.net/nra210/nraopen1.htm (click the link to the left of the page)
John, thank you for all your help and support in getting the high quality ammunition that we needed to where it needed to be. It appeared to work seamlessly from where I am sitting, but I know that you put in a lot of effort making sure all the I's were dotted and T's crossed. And as you can see, the results proved that machine loaded ammo can compete with handloads. Thanks, Jon Underwood, Vice Captain GBRT to NZ 2010.

Happy Customers |
I just received the following from Jim Bailey, following his win at the two day Australia Day competition at Malabar over the weekend of January 23rd/24th:- "Very happy Mike, I won both days as well as the grand. shot 3,5,6,6,6,7,800m on the icfra target for 348.41/350. Conditions were a litt
le tricky which accounted for the two fours at the 1st 600m. Stock recoils very nicely and I'm getting there with my general position." Jim took delivery of his TR702 stock just before the end of 2009.

On Monday 7th
September 2009 I purchased on behalf of the Greater Manchester
Police (GMP) Rifle Shooting Team, 200 rounds (new) of HPS
155 grain ammunition from the NSRA at Bisley at a cost of
£150.00 to compete in the National Police Rifle Shooting

Dear HPS,
Many thanks for your excellent service - and product. Exactly
what I wanted. I wish some other companies would take a
page out of your book. I look forward to doing business
with you again. Best wishes. (UK Customer) |
You will be pleased to hear your ammo works very well through
the BLASER rifle. I finished second in a two day event at
Bisley on 2 & 3 April 2009. Only chap who beat me, was from
the Dorset Police, with his RPA & HPS 175 gr ammo! Thanks
very much for the excellent quality of your product, it
really makes the difference!

Dear HPS,
Just wanted to thank you for the Weaver scope rail you altered
to my drawing and which I received today. The work has been
done to a high standard. I am very pleased with the steel
rail and it now fits my rifle exactly. Many thanks for your
time and advice.
Just a quick note of thanks.
I have just had my first chance to use the batch of machine
loaded .308 1F ammunition. For the excellent adjustment
made to my Southern Gun AR10 rifle by Rob a few weeks ago,
having had 5 years of strife, fixed in 5 minutes! Worked
beautifully. The excellent ammo, which despite being your
cheapest, was quite excellent in consistency and ease of
use. Really appreciate your help and products. Regards.
(UK Customer)
Dear John,
I thought I would drop you a quick email to say thank you
for the quality of your once fired .308 Match King ammunition.
I competed in the South West & UK Police Championships
over two days at Yoxter on Wednesday & Thursday, I managed
a 'so-so' score of 145.14 on Wednesday but excelled myself
on Thursday with a 150.25 to win the UK Police Championship
Aggregate as well as the South West Championship. I used
the same rifle as in Canada last year, i.e. a Swing MK5
with a 1:13 Krieger barrel.
Please pass on my thanks to my Steve Jelf for the quality
of the reloads, I shall certainly be ordering some more
in the near future.
Very best regards,
Brian Cambray

Simply the Best! |
Hi John,
Deitra, Rob,
Just a note to say how wonderful the ammunition I've been
using over the past two weekends has been - YOURS! I have
had a horrible season using issued RG and have been scratching
my head as to what I was doing wrongly. I was 2nd in the North
meeting and 5th in the city meeting and my elevations have
been absolutely unbelievable both weekends. Notably, I had
a 74.13 at 900x and a 150.17 in Q2 yesterday. James is also
delighted having shot a 75.7 at 900x also with your ammo.
Hope to see you all soon.

all year around with outdoor-conditions while temperature
within the room remains at a comfortable 20 degrees. Maybe

with a DM (Distinction Merit) and received top marks in her
PEO (Performing Engineering Operations) units. Well done Steph!
She now leaves HPS to attend the University of Portsmouth

all miss her at HPS (she has promised to come back and work
on some of her Uni breaks!) and wish her all the best in her
future studies. We know she will do well!! |
| Henrik Sanglen of Sweden and System
Gemini |
I started shooting air
rifle and full-bore (national events) at the tender age of
9. Since then I have tried most of the rifle-disciplines (both
national and international programs) and over the years I
have come to focus in on the small-bore prone-event. I like
the complexity of the discipline and the way you need to master
both your mind and body as well as the equipment. Having an
engineering-background, I definitely enjoy tuning the equipment,
making sure that I get the absolute optimum of what is possible.

This is where the product-range of HPS comes
in. I have tried and tested a wide range of equipment over
the years and I have come to the conclusion that you cant
beat true quality and precision-making in a sport where success
is measured in mm. The HPS-product range gives me the possibility
to adjust my position towards that optimum feeling and I can
always rely on my settings remaining constant without moving
or failing. Prone specialists tend to custom-adjust most of
their equipment, and in that sense I am no different. The
HPS-products does however form a stable platform on which
to build my position and with the companies ability to fit
almost any barrel/action into their System Gemini FR703-stock
(I use a Bleiker Challenger) I would expect more FR703-fitted
rifles to appear on the international shooting-ranges over
the years to come. As for my own shooting-career only time
will tell, but obviously my goals are high and my hope is
to be able to establish myself as a consistent shooter on
the European shooting-ranges.
Best Regards,
Henrik Sanglén, Kviberg Shooting-Club, Sweden.

| Mrs Wendy Hetherington, Maidenhead
Rifle Club |
I started shooting in November
of 2006 using club rifles. As I’m only 5ft 3ins I could
hardly reach the trigger and the rifle stock was too long. The
club did their best to kit me out but the situation wasn’t
ideal. My average score was 88. One of the lady members has
successfully used the HPS Gemini Rifle and recommended it to
me. The setup can be adjusted at the turn of a key to suite
all requirements. This was ideal so my new gun arrived in May
2007. My favourite colour is Pink so I commissioned a rifle
tastefully anodised in pink, the first of its type in England.
They now call me the “Pink Lady”. Based on my average
score I decided to enter my first ever competition at Bisley
2007. Won Mastershot badge for scoring 569 (60 shot), Weekend
Aggregate gold medal D class for a score of 1117, Weekend Aggregate
Competition 10a Bar for coming 4th in D class out of 77.
Now moved to C Class with an average of 93.9 and with the help
of my special Gemini I am looking for further progress next
year. |

| More Positive Feedback! |
Feedback from one of
HPS' New Agents - Ryan, from Intershoot (www.intershoot.co.uk),
who just received his first System Gemini FR703 stock for
a customer:
"I meant to add a note on my last email but forgot. I
have been shooting for quite some time now, since I was 14
and I have yet to see (and I imagine I will never see) such
a brilliantly thought out piece of engineering and design
as well as quality of finish as the Gemini FR703 I received
this week.
The function is second to none. I have personally tried every
ALU stock on the market and none have the build quality or
the consistency of yours. Please pass my comments onto whoever
thought it up (Robert I presume) my only worry is how they
are ever going to replace it when they try to design a new
model!!
Best regards, Ryan:: Intershoot ::
When HPS asked if we could use his name on this quotation
he replied:
"You can quote me with no problem at all, I took the
stock to my local club tonight and am still cleaning the drool
off it!! "
Thanks Ryan!

HPS-TR Ltd has been manufacturing and supplying
high quality ammunition since 1988. We supply individuals,
Clubs and Associations both in the UK and overseas, with customers
from Europe, Canada, the West Indies, India, South Africa
and Australia. Many record scores have been obtained under
International Match Conditions.
This past August 2006 the Great Britain Rifle Team to Canada
shot the DCRA meeting in Ottawa. Many of the members of this
team have now become part of the Great Britain Palma Team
2007. For the individual matches in Ottawa team members used
HPS machine loaded ammunition. For the Teams Matches they
used Hand Loaded ammunition using the same components supplied
by HPS. The accuracy of the ammunition is obvious from the
results.
The list below shows all the competitions that the GB Team
members were permitted to enter as individuals using HPS machine
loaded ammunition. The first part of the list shows 21
outright wins by GB Team members out of the total
of 30 possible competitions that could be entered. From the
remaining 9 competitions, you can see that the GB Team members
still made an excellent appearance.
